2014 Men's Conference Presenters

Father Antoine Thomas is a native of France. Before joining the Brothers of St. John in 1985, he was a member of the French Army. He pursued a degree in marketing both in France and the US. He now is superior at a new priory in Christchurch, New Zealand. Fr Antoine is also appointed full chaplain of the Canterbury University (20,000 students) and pastor at St Teresa Parish in Riccarton. He often appears on EWTN.

Father Paul Marie is a member of the Brothers of Saint John. He has spent many years working in deliverance ministry! He is currently residing in Italy! We look forward to his personal experience in helping us understand how evil seduces many and how we can overcome it with the help of the Sacraments and Mary.

Father Bailey Clemens grew up in Eastern Oregon. He worked as a disc jockey, a sporting goods retail manager and telecommunications sales associate. He later went to Africa to work with his aunt a missionary nun. It was there he found his priestly vocation. Upon his return he finished his undergraduate at Saint Edwards University Austin, Texas. He joined the Diocese of Peoria and began his seminary training at Mount Saint Mary's in Emmittsburg, Maryland. After some years in Illinois, he heard the call from God, go west. He returned to his home Diocese of Baker and is Pastor at St Mary's in Pendleton.

Father Robert Greiner became the pastor of St Francis De Sales Cathedral on October 17, 2013. He was born in Heppner and grew up in Condon. Fr. Greiner was ordained in 1993 and served at Nyssa and more recntly in Prineville, Oregon.

Conference Saints

St. Joseph - "A just man" The foster-father of Jesus, teaching men how to be a true holy and devout father and husband.

St. Juan Diego - Converted a nation when Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared and requested a church to be built on the site of her appearance.

St. Maximilian Kolbe - One of many Priests martyred in Auschwitz concentration camp, offering up his life in love of Christ.

Fr. Pierre DeSmet - The first evangelist of the Native Americans. A true pioneering man on the mission to save souls.

Blessed Pierre Frassati- Young people today who are looking for a role model will find someone to identify with in this vibrant young outdoorsman who combined a deep love for Christ, a desire to serve the needy, and a mission to imbue society and politics with Christian ideals.

Saint Charles Lwanga and his companions, known as the martyrs of Uganda, were a group of Ugandan Christians (both Catholics and Anglicans) who were murdered by King Mwanga II of Buganda, between 1885 and 1887.

What can I expect at the Northwest Men's Catholic Conference?

Pendleton, Oregon is famous for its annual cowboy assembly each fall at the Pendleton Roundup, a different men’s gathering will take place in 2014. The Northwest Catholic Men’s Conference on February 21st and 22nd will inspire men to come to holiness and seek the Truth. The conference, being held at the Pendleton Convention Center, kicks off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday February 21st with Mass. Check in will begin on Friday at 4:30pm.

Speakers and multi-media presentations throughout the two days will help men develop a deeper relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ, and also with their family and friends, and all of God’s people. Men will be instructed on God’s Mercy, the sacraments, prayer, saints and angels and their fight against evil. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a special Live Stations of the Cross will be presented. Breakout sessions will promote discussion of issues relevant to Catholics and other Christian men.

The conference will conclude Saturday afternoon around 5:00pm.

Fathers, we encourage you to bring your son(s), but ask that they meet a minimum age of 15 years old. Thank you!
